How did Mark propose? Mark proposed in our apartment with a photo book of pictures of us throughout our relationship. He got nervous and I had to flip through the book twice before he finally got down on one knee. Mark arranged for our families to join us a few hours later for champagne at our apartment and dinner at a local restaurant followed by a party with our friends at a local bar. Mark even planned a special brunch the next morning with our best friends and a couples massage to end the weekend.
Standout Memory of the night: There are so many! We loved the New Orleans style trumpeters that surprised our guests at the end of the ceremony and lead us and our guests to the cocktail hour. We loved Mark’s friends using me as a human limbo stick for the guests to dance under during the party!
Honeymoon Location: We’re going to Bali and Taipei.
One piece of advice that you could give to other couples: Just to focus on each other on the wedding day. We had a lot of time to visit with our guests at the Thursday and Friday night events and on Saturday we were really able to focus on each other
Wedding Dress: Monique Lhuillier at the Monique Lhuillier boutique
Groom’s Tux: Coppley custom tuxedo at Woodbury Mens Shop
Bridesmaids’ Gift and Groomsmen’ Gift: Bow ties and monogrammed garment bags for the groomsmen and monogrammed make-up cases and note pads for the bridesmaids
Something Blue and Something Borrowed: I wore my mom’s earrings and totally forgot to wear anything blue!
Testimonial: We loved working with Felix and the Fred Marcus team. We knew Felix would do an amazing job capturing the beautiful Sea Island and he did not disappoint. He took charge and made sure the day ran smoothly. The photos are incredible and we’re having trouble narrowing them down for our album. Mark was especially excited to see that Felix got a shot of him on top of the pyramid. Thanks for everything!
