How did Jason propose? Jason proposed while we were on vacation in Chilean Patagonia. After the end of a long day hiking we went for a relaxing walk down to a huge lake in Torres del Paine National Park. I turned around and he was down on one knee. It was perfect!
Standout Memory of the night: Dancing together in the middle of the dance floor (as husband and wife!), looking around, and realizing that we were surrounded by the love of all of our favorite people in the world. There’s truly no feeling like it.
Honeymoon Location: We left right after the wedding for a two week trip to Italy. We spent time in a city, in the country, and basking in the sun and sea in the Italian Riviera
One piece of advice that you could give to other couples: Enjoy the engagement! The weeks or months spent planning a wedding are just as special as the big day.
Wedding Dress: Monique Lhuillier, Madison Avenue Boutique in NYC
Groom’s Tux: Giorgio Armani, Madison Avenue Boutique in NYC
Bridesmaids’ Gift and Groomsmen’ Gift: I gave my bridesmaids personalized bracelets made by Haniken Jewelers. Jason gave his groomsmen money clips engraved with their initials.
Something Blue and Something Borrowed: A few of the ties used to bustle my dress were my touch of something blue. I borrowed earrings from my mom, and a bracelet from my best friend. I also “borrowed” a piece of my mom’s wedding veil to wrap my bouquet in.
Testimonial: The wedding day goes by way too fast – cliche but true. Being able to trust the vendors we hired allowed us to spend our time reveling in the moment, and focus on each other. If I had the chance to redo all of the wedding planning and the big day, I wouldn’t change a thing.
