When Robin and Jake walked into our studio, we couldn’t resist asking how they met.  After hearing that they have known each other for practically their entire life and grew up as tennis stars, we had to share their story with all of you.  Here is what Robin had to say:

Our journey started 16 years ago on a tennis court at West Orange Tennis Club when we were 11 years old.  Although we refused to speak to each other, we are convinced now that it was love at first sight.  Throughout high school, we were always friendly but never had that special spark.  For that, we had to wait until the summer after Jake’s freshman year in college and my sophomore year.  We decided it would be nice to grab dinner and catch up after so long.  I had just gotten out of a relationship and Jake finished a tough freshman year at the bottom of the dating totem pole.  The timing couldn’t have been any better.  After an amazing sushi dinner, the rest is history…. We stuck together through nearly 5 years of long distance romance, while I finished college at University of Richmond and Jake attended Harvard Law School in Cambridge.  Now, after approximately eight amazing years together, we couldn’t be more excited to finally tie the knot.
